Training a Perimeter Security or Facility Security team

Building a security team for the protection of secured facilities.

The aim of the course is to train security teams to protect sensitive installations based on the overall security considerations and needs of the facility; development and analysis of risk scenarios and the resource allocation.

Study and drill of regular and emergency procedures, monitoring and control for visitors and staff entering the facility, identifying and defining possible risks.

Study and analysis of critical points in the facility and potential areas for failure by analyzing all possible enemy operations.

Course curriculum

  • Developing individual skills at the level of the single security officer in his use of weapons and tactical decision making abilities whilst under pressure and in conditions of uncertainty.
  • Learning the use of a wide range of weapons – short and long weapons, shotguns etc.
  • Developing team exercises for dealing with extreme scenarios
  • Developing elements for quick reaction and fast movement and the interception of people and vehicles
  • Study and analysis of elements required to monitor and  control entry to the facility
  • Developing aggression with analytical abilities and selective operation in civilian areas.
  • Learning Israeli hand to hand combat techniques
  • Study and drill in combat at the team level using Israeli methods for urban warfare (CQB).
  • Determining and learning techniques for the collection of pre-op intelligence used by the enemy
  • Determining suspicious and abnormal behavior
  • Preparing a ground charts for the facility
  • Various simulations for different, extreme situation followed by an analysis of the simulations both at the individual and team level, from the technical and the tactical viewpoint.
  • Execution of attack drills (Red team) by a simulated threat and the use of paint pellets.
